Georg Jensen Masterpieces Tray - Design 1046
| Tweet |
Masterpieces–based on original Georg Jensen hollowware. Contemporary then, contemporary now.
Available for the first time since 1955.
One of Georg Jensen’s greatest legacies was its development of functional, modern design during the post World War II period. The Danish designer Magnus Stephensen was a pioneer of this clean and unadorned style. Having studied in Japan, he brought the subtle aesthetic he learned abroad to the works he created for Georg Jensen.
This tray is a wonderful example of his work. It combines a contemporary edge with superior craftsmanship. The mirror polished tray debuted in 1955 and today can be used as a chic centrepiece for a table setting or to add a touch of modernist flair to any surface.
