The Roros throws are made from 100% pure new Norwegian wool. All of the wool is selected from sheep grazing fresh Norwegian mountain pastures that ensures you soft, airy and comfortable throws that are robust enough to remain beautifully functional for many years. The design and style of these throws are inspired by the esthetic and cultural heritage of Norway and the fascinating mountain scenery. Wool is a completely natural product with unique properties, so the old saying, "There is no substitute for wool" is most certainly true.
Røros Tweed has been weaving high quality lambswool products since 1940 building on a local tradition that goes back centuries. Røros Tweed Norwegian Wool Blankets & Throws are renowned for their innovative designs and add warmth and harmony to any setting. Røros designers gather inspiration from the Norwegian landscape, as well as from urban trends and classical forms. Røros Tweed produces two types of of wool blankets: beautiful, traditionally woven throws with fringe and Jacquard woven blankets edged in yarn. With Jacquard technique weaving, each thread in the warp may be lifted resulting in Jacquard blankets having reverse patterns and colors on the opposite side.
