Blue Fluted Mega Hand-Painted Dinnerware
The designer Karen Kjaeldgaard-Larsen grew up with the Blue Fluted service and had always been fascinated by it and the small differences that typify the hand-painted service and make every single piece unique. It was therefore with great respect for the old service, which was the porcelain factory's first back in 1775, that the Blue Fluted Mega decoration came into being. Selected fragments of the traditional Blue Fluted decoration are enlarged, so that beautifully sweeping lines and portions of the stylized chrysanthemum form an almost graphical whole. This breakthrough design was introduced by Royal Copenhagen in 2000. Click on item for detail view. About Royal Copenhagen -- Royal Copenhagen, officially the Royal Porcelain Factory (in Danish: Den kongelige Porcelaansfabrik), was founded in Copenhagen in 1775 under the protection of Queen Juliane Marie and has been recognized ever since by its factory mark, the three wavy lines above each other, which symbolises Denmarkâs three straits: Oresund, Store Baalt and Lille Baalt.
