  • The Children's Day Plate takes us into the middle of the ocean in search of adventure, together with these intrepid miniature pirates who have set course for Neverland. The motif, number 29 in the series, was designed by Sven Vestergaard.
Jørgen NielsenNielsen has been with Royal Copenhagen for many years where he was responsible for the continuation of Bing & Grondahl collector series, and has created a whole range of designs and new series of plates, drops, etc. Nielsen has designed motifs for all Bing & Grondahl Christmas plates from 1993-2013. This series started way back in 1895, and is the world's oldest Christmas plate series. As it can be seen from the pictures below, Nielsen managed to create idyllic winter land motifs with happy and excited children.
