The Christmas plates from Bing & Grøndahl are the oldest of their kind in the world and were issued for the first time in 1895. This year's motif, number 124 in the series, features a Christmas night, cold, clear and beautiful—almost magical. Even the fox senses the special atmosphere and stops for a moment during his busy hunt. The motif drawn by artist Dag Samsund adorns the plate, the bell and the drop.
