The Christmas plate from Bing & Grøndahl is the world's oldest collector series. This year's motif depicts a little boy who has been waiting expectantly all night for Santa. He has been looking forward to asking Santa if he would like to come down through the loft trapdoor instead of squeezing through the narrow chimney. Created by Danish artist Jorgen Nielsen, this year's motif is the 118th consecutive design in the series and used to decorate the plate, bell and drop.
