The Iittala Kastehelmi serving bowl was designed by Oiva Toikka as part of the Kastehelmi collection. Kastehelmi means ÒdewdropÓ in Finnish, and the collection is often called Iittala Dewdrop. The Dewdrop design was created in 1964 as part of a technical challenge to try and replicate the look of droplets of water on glass.
