Blomst Bowl, Zinnia - 4.25"

Blomst is a fresh and modern homage to the second pattern of Royal Copenhagen, Blue Flower, from 1779. Hand painted floral motifs gracefully adorn every piece of porcelain and appear in soft harmony and refined interaction with elegant, angular, and contemporary shapes. The shape of the Blomst bowls is inspired by traditional Asian ceramics and as the mugs, the bowls are elegantly lifted by a discreet column base, which is a nod to the traditional Blue Flower pattern from 1778. As such, the design of the bowls is not only a nod to tradition but also to the beauty of Japanese aesthetics. Adorned by the exuberant zinnia, the flower represents a symbol of endurance as it is one of the longest blooming flowers which can withstand most types of weather.
