Blomst is a fresh and modern homage to the second pattern of Royal Copenhagen, Blue Flower, from 1779. Hand painted floral motifs gracefully adorn every piece of porcelain and appear in soft harmony and refined interaction with elegant, angular, and contemporary shapes. The mugs of Blomst are identical in shape but are each decorated with their own beautiful, three-dimensional flower motif. The morning glory, has been believed to be directly related to the finite nature of life on earth, each single flower representing one life and life being represented by the daylight hours of the sun, withering and finally dying by nightfall.
