about the designer

Akiko is the fruit of a collaboration between the Danish designer Hans Thyge and the Japanese designer Akiko Kuwahata. Kuwahata came to Denmark as part of her design studies and worked as a trainee at Hans Thygeâ€™s architectural practice, RKDO, in Aarhus. The Akiko range was named after Kuwahata.
