Designed in 1971, Panthella stands out as one of Verner Panton's design icons with its unique expression where both the stand and the shade served as a reflector, thanks to the organic shapes that are characteristic of the Danish designer. The Panthella 250 Portable Lamp is a downscaled edition of Verner Panton's popular Panthella 400 Table lamp, which makes for easy placement on windowsills, shelves, or tables. Regardless of which color or material you choose, the Panthella 250 Portable Lamp will provide exceptional light to all surroundings.

Use for longer

Take the new and improved version of the Panthella 250 Portable lamp anywhere and enjoy hours and hours of light. It can be recharged using a USB cord and has a more durable, replaceable battery for extended usage. When fully charged, it provides approximately 5.5 hours of light at 100% and up to 79 hours when dimmed to 10%.

Just touch the top

The Panthella 250 Portable lamp now features a button integrated into the top, inspired by the playful and experimental Danish architect Verner Panton. Simply touch the top nut to adjust the brightness and turn the light on or off.

The Panthella 250 Lamp in your home

Perfectly sized for versatility, the Panthella Mini sits effortlessly on a side table, shelf, or windowsill. Its distinctive trumpet-shaped base and reflective shade create a subtle upward glow, balancing elegance with practical illumination.

For specific styling inspiration, consider these placement ideas:

Living room: A warm, ambient glow when placed on a side table, enhancing the atmosphere.

Bedroom: A soft bedside companion, casting gentle light perfect for winding down.

Home office: Provides a focused yet inviting light, ideal for working without harsh glare.

Hallway: Positioned on a console table, it offers a welcoming, sculptural presence.

Panthella with opal shade

The opal acrylic shade diffuses soft, even light, casting a warm and inviting glow across a room. This makes it particularly suited to living spaces or areas where a gentle, ambient light is preferred.

Panthella with opaque shade

Designed to direct light downward, the opaque shade ensures a more focused illumination. The inner white shade reflects light softly within the trumpet-shaped base, creating a refined yet functional glow—perfect for task lighting, reading nooks, or workspaces.

Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926 1998) is considered one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers. During his career, he created innovative and futuristic designs in a variety of materials, especially plastics, and in vibrant and exotic colors.

Panton studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Art (Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi) in Copenhagen, graduating in 1951. During the first two years of his career, 19501952, he worked at the architectural practice of Arne Jacobsen, another Danish architect and furniture designer. He then started his own design and architectural office.

Like many iconoclasts, Verner Panton was rarely content with making a safe choice at the expense of his vision. During his career, his architectural plans included collapsible houses and chairs with no legs. In 1960 Panton was the designer of the very first single-form injection-moulded plastic chair. The Stacking chair or S chair, became his most famous and mass-produced design. Panton was an exciting and controversial figure in the 1960 world of design. What is not up for debate is the depth of his legacy. His psychedelic shapes have come to characterize the era and his playful designs only seem to improve with time.
