The Aino Aalto collection is the oldest pressed drinkware collection still in production by Iittala. Architect Aino Aalto designed her namesake collection in 1932, and a few years later, it won gold in the 1936 Milan Triennial. Reviving the functional design direction of its time, Aino Aalto makes a fitting addition to today's smaller homes with its stackability and versatility. The bigger tumbler size is perfect as an everyday drinking glass. The rich, gem-like ultramarine blue showcases Iittala's color know-how beautifully. Each Aino Aalto item is produced at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland.

Independently from her husband, Aino is also known for her own individual contributions which helped bring modern Finnish design to the international arena. Her architectural exhibitions for Artek received the Gran Prix at the 1936 Milan Triennial. Aino also won the gold medal at the same competition for her "Aalto Glasses" which were inspired by the circles created by throwing rocks in the water. Eighty years later, the versatile, stackable "Aino Aalto" glassware continues to be a timeless classic for Iittala. Aino Aalto also designed buildings, interiors, furniture and textiles.
