Georg Jensen My Favorite Silver Cutlery

Designed by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe in 1989, this series of children?s cutlery in sterling silver was inspired by Vivianna?s early childhood in Sweden. She explains, "When I behaved well as a child, I was rewarded with something tasty to eat. Strawberries with cream, home-made ice cream or jam. Best of all I was allowed to eat with great-grandmother?s christening spoon. For me it became the symbol of a happy life. It became my favorite spoon. Since then I have always felt that a spoon may be a declaration of love; from the one who loves you ? to your hands that hold it and to your lips that embrace it. That is why I created My Favorite Spoon. I have hidden a Heart in the design as the eternal symbol of love."
