The AH911 Outdoor Side table was designed by Alfred Homann in 2022 as part of the AH Outdoor series. With strict lines elegantly combined with soft, rounded details, the table has simplicity and multiple functions—either as a seat or as a counter. The side table can also be combined with other outdoor furniture in the series to create an atmospheric outdoor environment. The table is made of FSC™-certified teak
Born in 1948, Alfred Homann was a multi-award-winning Danish architect and designer. He graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1976 and after spending some years as a student working with different Danish and American Architects, he founded his own studio in 1978 in Copenhagen—30 years old.
Simplicity, clarity, and logic were always the most important parameters for Homann, and his keen eye for details is evident in everything he designed. Homann created furniture and lighting, as well as architectural projects at museums, railway stations, private residences, and public buildings—everything with great precision and thoroughness.
In 1987, Homann established Homann Design Inc. in the United States from where he worked on different projects in addition to his Copenhagen studio. He travelled the world giving lectures and presentations in the USA, Japan, Russia, and Europe. Furthermore, Homann was acknowledged with multiple international awards during his career for both design and architecture—for example the Red Dot award, IF Product Design-Award, and a Brunel Award. Alfred Homann died in 2022, 74 years old.
