This year's Bing & Grøndahl Christmas Plate features Den Gamle By in Aarhus, an open sky museum that shows elements of Danish history and ways of life as far back as 1500. With the skilled hands of Swedish artist Frans August Hallin and his revolutionary relief technique, the world's first Christmas plate was born—"Behind the Frozen Window," depicting Copenhagen's beloved skyline.
